Internet should be a Utility
I'm still betting that the hardware vendors are looking forward to selling high-end equipment that can differentiate and prioritize traffic. Without the priortization, their products become a commodity where someone can always undercut their price by building faster, cheaper routers.

The problem is that killing net neutrality is effectively putting a tax on innovation. Anyone who has studied history in high-school would know that the government taxes things that they want to discourage. Many other countries have far more bandwidth than we do in America. If we allow a tiered Internet, we're putting our country into the slow lane and almost guaranteeing that other countries will be setting the pace and developing the hot services.

Government regulation is a necessary evil. It's time that we make broadband as widely available and as reliable as electricity or water.
