"Just being there" is a distinct advantage over having to seek something out.
The average non-techie will use whatever pops up when they click on a "SEARCH" button. As Microsoft may (will?) hard wire this to their own search, the user will have to go out of their way to do a non-Microsoft search.
Bottom line: The playing field is NOT level.
