A simple question
Marketing becomes spam when the sender uses a resource they
don't have a right to use. If you're sending out fliers bulk rate
through the post office, its marketing. If you're stuffing them in the
boxes directly, its spam. If you bought billboard space, its
marketing. If you slap a poster over someone else's billboard, its
spam.
