Nope
While any tune downloaded to an iPod WILL work on an iPod. And yes it is possible to change it to anothe rdevice to listen to it. No Problem there at all. But Apple does have a monopoly in the sense that the iPod is extremely popular and therefore carries THAT marketshare. Which the same has been said for MS when it comes to all things Windows. As for removing WMP you could try searching for (and I know this is a pain the a$%) all files associated with it as well as folders and remove them individually. Just make sure that you are not removing any that can be associated with any other programs because Windows (or MS, your pick) does have many files that (when removed) affect how another program works.
