Today's college students are tomorrows workforce and tomorrows consumers.
Targeting them like an all out war instead of working out some kind of licensing plan or compromise only plants the future fate or downfall for that matter of the RIAA.
The upside and downside of lawsuits is that is works both ways. Assuming that the RIAA has not played well with others (consumers), it would probably not be in their best interest to solve problems using blanket lawsuits against possibly the best and upcoming minds of tomorrows generation in the university/college systems.
