Greed? Give me a break...

What manufacturing industry do you know of releases a product (the CD) and after 22 years can still charge the same or more money for it's product? How much does it cost you to burn a CD at home - a dime? The media costs are nothing. Worse - move to online buying, there's no media and no ad costs. There's no packaging, there's no distribution. So why am I charged a buck or more a song? For a 13 song CD, that's 13 bucks, same as in the stores. Thats bull****. Ever hear of gouging margins? Wake up RIAA, Sony, BMG, etc. There's a new market upon you and you don't get it. Charge a fair price and plenty of people will buy your product; rape people and they'll rob you blind in retaliation. More specifically on this LAN issue, how is it different than going down the hall and borrowing your frat buddy's CD? In this case, he's across campus. So what? What's next RIAA - going after people that rip CDs from public libraries? Don't piss Gramma off! She likes her Sinatra. You people make me ill.
