If you ask me, it's all much ado over nothing. Hotmail has always been the king when it comes to SPAM so I don't see anyone rushing to use it after the name change. I had a hotmail account merely to use it for registration purposes on various sites, etc. because I didn't want my REAL email clogged up with all the spam. It's a junk email program, pure and simple, and changing the name isn't going to change that nor is it going to attract any new users. Yahoo's mail is frankly a lot better and has, IMHO, better filtering...that's why I use it now and have cancelled the HM account long ago. Yahoo still saves wear and tear on my 'real' email addy and lots less spam to deal with. Just my 2 cents.
