Service providers will no doubt be switching to Windows Live for email (Exchange Server offering Windows Live services.)

That means people will be forced to use Microsoft-only products to check email. They've already targeted a few colleges and universities, now they'll go after businesses. This will force people to purchase Windows-only products and services, thereby killing off competing products and services.

Because "everyone" uses Windows, you can imagine the number of companies lined up for this crap. Microsoft will use their market dominance to leverage protocals that will only work with Microsoft products. This is the exact behavior that the U.S. has failed to stop, but the E.U. is trying to prevent.
