Ruling adds to confusion over legality of keywords

Retail comparrison?: I don't see the difference between someone typing a keyword for a name brand in a search engine and getting an ad for a competing product and placing competing products next to each other on a store shelf. You are still going to be exposed to the competition when looking for the name'd product. Should Tylonol sue the grocery store for putting their products next to like products? Doesn't that dilute their product recognition when you can pick up two boxes and compare them side by side and determine for yourself which you want? I mean, tylonol spends so much on advertising to get someone into the store and to that shelf to buy their product. Why should a no name or other product piggy back off their ads?

it's not like you are getting popup ads. You are just getting those little boxed off results that look different than the regular results.
