You do own it.
Under Federal laws that were implemented recently, your medical information cannot be electronically transmitted, sold or used for anything other than direct treatment you initiate, billing of that treatment or the operations surrounding it. There are too many loopholes and whatnot to this typical gob of nebulous congressional "law", but the intent stands. If the information is de-indentified, it can be used. But this may be an area, depending on what Google's plans really are and that is not clear, that requires a closer look by the courts? I would think it's not deidentified if it can be traced back to the originating host.
I think the law is on your side on this one and you would have a strong case, in terms of what you are speaking about.
