This time I am on your side No_ax.
Stealing is stealing, and piracy is piracy. I think the the real issue is your DNA is yours, mine is mine, and having it turned over to a for profit operation to recieve needed medical treament with no compensation is nothing short of armed robbery. The medical release information and release agreement is even worse than the MS Eula (and I hate Microsoft). At least with MS I can refuse and go open source, at the hospital my other option is to die, which I find particularly unattractinve at this juncture. They have "intellectual property", I give them that. The history of my life and my medical records, and particularly the DNA of my body is my property, and if they want it I should be justly compensated. Seems to me we have a pack of thieves fighting over the booty here. Where are the rights of the person who actually owns that DNA?
