What we have here are a bunch of do nothing and know nothing gold-digger's who hope to capitalize and profit on the work of researchers and inventors who have the skill and wherewithal to tease the information out of the DNA.

Patents are never for what occurs in nature. Patents are given to cover inventions which are a result of learning from the DNA how to develop methods or apparatus which is the invention. There has been no biopiracy when an invention is created by studying the DNA.

Brazil is one of the worst pirates of America's inventions. They and their thieving cohorts can rationalize until they turn blue about owning the DNA to what occurs naturally while also rationalizing why they should get away with blatant theft of our intellectual property but that does not mean we should give them any consideration.
