You're partially correct.
I'll admit that the concept being spun by the US sentate ignores the fact that there is an internet outside of the USA. But, your post also implies that violence is considered acceptable to children. You are incorrect.

In the US, the movie you used as an example received an "R" rating, which according the the MPAA means "In the opinion of the Rating Board, this film definitely contains some adult material. Parents are strongly urged to find out more about this film before they allow their children to accompany them. An R-rated film may include strong language, violence, nudity, drug abuse, other elements, or a combination of the above, so parents are counseled in advance to take this advisory rating very seriously."

Also, you imply that the use of the .xxx domain is being suggested as a site for all nudity. The way it is being presented is a site for scenes showing or emphasizing sexual behavior and/or contact.

I agree that Americans get too hung up on this stuff; but you are basing your post on incorrect assumptions.
