But what good would that do?
If the Google product works in this manner, how is it the IT depts problem? Banning unwanted sites and products is part of being a damn good IT shop. Many users in an organization would have access to download this. How would IT control that and at what expense. Yeah, restricting usage in the workplace is the right of the entity and has nothing to do with "free" information flow. It has to do with keeping your income flow if you want to work there.
