I am very disappointed in ICANN... for shame...
Verisign should only be ALLOWED to administer the .com domains as long as they remain the best option for consumers. I fail to see how a 6 year renewable monopoly and a automatic 7 percent rate hike annually benefits the consumers.
I can't see how Verisign ever hoped to win their suit; and I can't see how ICANN ever took it seriously (unless they wanted us to think that to get sneak this 'Settlement' through)
ICANN should be ashamed of itself. I suspect that the members will soon be taking "Fact Finding" trips to Hawaii and Australia with the $12 million payoff.
Shameful.
