Excess Paranoia
While this feature can indeed cause problems in some corporate environments, labeling Google "evil" is an overreaction and frankly a bit paranoid.

For an typical user who isn't working with sensitive data who flits between several computers at work and at home, the ability to find something when he isn't even sure which machine he was working on is a blessing.

Between three PCs at home, two others at one office location, and yet another at a second office location, my wife is frequently having to waste time trying to figure out which machine she has a particular file on. For her, this feature will save her hours every week. And the nature of her work is such that the potential privacy issues are just total non-issues.

So don't be in such a rush to label a feature (which isn't even turned on by default!) that many will find a major time saver as "evil" just because there are environments where it can cause problems.
