Yes, I agree, lies are no better than censorship. I condemn them both.

What I was pointing out, however, is the hypocrisy of our elected officials in blaming the tech sector for working within China's laws when it is the politicians who have made it necessary for them to do so.

If so much of our country's economy didn't flow outward into theirs, we wouldn't need to sorry about it. However, political dogma must yield to economic realities. Either they fix their mess, or corporations have no choice but to respond to the free market pressures brought to bear by such a titan.
