chinese law
Is the congressman suggesting companies should not obey Chinese law? Is he saying companies should not do business in China because China has stricter laws than the US? The companies are really providing the first wedge which will ultimately open up China. Sounds like he's mad at China, but can't do anything about them, so he's taking it out on Google, MS, Yahoo, Cisco, et al.

Why does the article even mention the fact that the congressman is a Holocaust survivor? Is that pertinent to the issues? Nope! Maybe just an attempt to create credentials via sympathy? Maybe because he has no real credentials?
