They are overly paranoid about some things
I have to agree that EFF is overly paranoid about some things. While I agree with some of their positions, on things like DRM and Spyware, this is one of those times when I feel that they are being overly suspicious.
A better thing to do would be for them to push for a law saying that search results are off-limits to law enforcement personnel (a better way to track criminals would be to actually monitor the sites they are going to).
