Yes I know that current tech allows us to have seemingly needless mountains of RAM in our boxes.
But then what is the point of beefing up our boxes if we continue to bog them down with more useless constantly running crap?
We strive to create "scream machines" which will instantaneously perform anything we throw at it, and once we get these machines we stuff them with shitloads of useless code which basically negates any hardware advances we've made.
Talk about self-defeating..:-(
