The Naked Truth...
n6ffu: "Those who have NOTHING to hide have NOTHING to rationally fear."

I see. Then you won't object to removing all of the curtains, blinds, and interior doors in your house so we can install these video cameras, right? I mean, you don't have anything to hide, do you?

There's a difference in having nothing to hide (as in not searching for stuff that will get you into trouble - i.e. kiddie porn, the local branch of Al Qaeda's recruitment center, etc...) and being a brazen exhibitionist.

While I doubt the vast majority of folks out there would get their jollies looking at me whilst I was taking a shower, it's also true that my search history is free and clear of anything incriminating. Besides scouring the web for data on motherboards, cpus, other parts, movies and movie trivia, there isn't much else there that would cause someone from homeland security or the NSA or CIA or whomever to raise an eyebrow.

So if you've got nothing to hide (as far as your search history is concerned) then what's the big deal?
