You're absolutely right.
However, the German Nazi party did not agree with freedom of speech, thought, or religion.
Should we gratnt freedom of speech to those who want to deny it?
And don't forget, France was occupied during the war, they see this stuff as much an attack on them as you do their wanting it stopped.
They are not attacking America or Americas values, thye are trying to protect and defend their own.
