Read this correctly...
Google is still looking for the customer "sweet spot". Meaning that a few large companies buy their top line search appliance...but many are large enough to have rolled their own. And that small and mid-sized companies are reluctant to buy the high-end product...but found the low-end one useless. At those prices, for just indexing documents, I can see why there's reluctance. Google does internet search well, but its corporate pricing is as inflated as its current stock price (that is...about 8-10x actual value).
