Define lesser? From my perspective TV is a generic bland product aimed at Mr Average Demographic and none of us are exactly Mr Average Demographic, we're all Mr Niche.
"No...because premium content brings high cost of entry...up front, before you know if your venture is going to be successful...and it determines your success, so there's no way to skimp on it."
Like Britannica costs $1395 for a full set? Yet Wikipedia is free? Competition and the net have a way of reducing the cost of things.
My view is they should go this route:
