stop while you're ahead
Stop trying the analogies man, you're not even close to a comparison here. In the case of what you're saying, it's shot down easily. You deserve no access to another persons computer because they aren't offering up freely, as MS is doing by offering the blogging service. You don't own anything on the computer so you in fact are NOT being refused rights. There is no public access to a private persons or companies computers, there's no free speech problems here. Refer to my former comment to your analogy for further details.

The argument here in question that you are so adament about is that MS(A US company) is changing their rules to abide by another countries rules simply because they see the almighty dollar from the Chinese. This is in fact true, as MS has no reason to abide by another countries rules as they are US based and only have to abide by the rules set forth by the US. The EU part is wrong as well, as they could stop selling there just like people could stop buying there. Sure MS could stop Chinese from bloggin from MSN, but why would they? Sure this guy could blog somewhere else, but the simple fact remains, he chose MS blogging because it is an American Company and i'm sure he knows what rights the US citizens have. He chose it for that fact because he thought he could speak his mind freely and the Chinese government could do nothing about it. I don't think it should be MS policing the blogs, if the Chinese have something wrong with it, why don't they go after the blogger himself, as he IS a citizen of their country. MS is doing this solely to get in good with China, and as is, a good business move, but it all depends on which side of the line you stand. 1 side you have people who think it's wrong to deny US freedoms over the net to a person or persons in another country, and on your side are the people who think MS should be able to police their free services to everyone equally, just because the country has rules against it. If this were the case, no one would blog as our country has probably the most lenient of rules towards what one says. You can criticize the government, criticize corporations, etc. You just have to be sure you have some proof or you can be sued for slander.

It's all a matter of perspective, but your starting points don't hold even a bit of water. Leave the analogies alone, they kill it for ya.
