Software companies are infamous for hyping their newest product as the greatest thing since sliced bread before ever making sure it's technically doable. Sun Microsystems, Microsoft, IBM, Oracle and SAP are just a few notables who have been forced to backpeddle when they realized they'd bitten off more than they could chew.
