We don't need more reverse engineering ...
What we need is for people to boycott ENTIRELY these DRM formats, and stop pirating as well. The more you crack the DRM and steal music, the nastier the DRM is going to get, and the more excuses that the entertainment industry has to buy more laws that make our lives even harder. (Of course, the DRM does nothing to prevent piracy, but the dumbf**ks in congress don't know that.)

If the industry is going to use DRM, we as consumers must DEMAND that the industry standardize on ONE SINGLE FORMAT and give us some kind of written GUARANTEE that the native files won't stop working when whatever server(s) that are currently authenticating the files go offline forever. For example, if Apple decides to shut down the iTunes Music Store next year, what's going to happen to the 100 .m4p files that Joe Sixpack has on his hard drive? Suppose he hasn't burned them to CD yet?
