Don't pity, give a round of applause
Much like MS had not done a lot with IE until FireFox came along, iTunes has only slightly imporved of late. If anything, it is getting more like MediaPlayer(the Mac crowd at work was impressed that you could play movies in a music player... Wow).
So weather the threat is merely percieved or is real, as long as it gets the big players moving, I'm all for it.
The main thing that cripples innovation is a dominant company that doesn?t feel any heat?
