Salesforce outage angers customers

The truth is, Salesforce is still more reliable than what a small or medium: size business could do themselves. And, that includes the reliability of the internet. These kinds of problems are much more common when it is a small business since they can not afford the kind of staff they have at salesforce. They would be the ones up all night trying to fix it, and it could take 2 or 3 days to fix.

That said, there is no excuse for this. The guys at salesforce need to figure out how to build in redundancy so this does not happen again. They should be using a clustered database so that any one node can fail without ANY disruptions.
