Our critical processes were down all day!
Our sales team and support teams are dependent on salesforce to operate, and having salesforce down for an entire day essentially halts activity in these departments. We also use salesforce to initiate the invoicing process, which was then also down for an entire day. We called salesforce during the outage and all they said was that they know about the issue and they are working on it. As a company that also provides an ASP model (and who also provides service credits in exchange for unscheduled downtime) their response to this situation was hugely disappointing. As the salesforce champion in our company (who has spent the last 6 months selling it internally) the outage was hugely embarrassing. I hope other users who experienced this outage complain, it is simply not acceptable to have our revenue generating processes down for a day because of salesforce's problems.
