$300 Million Kicker

My guess is the $300M credit is just icing on the cake for M$. My guess is Google feared a M$ counter and raised the pot a bit. To M$ AOL was a potential partnership that could have been financially lucrative once their smart people put the plan into place. Google on the other hand say 12% of its cash flow zooming out the door with the potential for additional erosion of advertising revenue if AOL and M$ hooked up. I think M$ would have preferred to do the deal, but they were willing to walk away like one should be willing to do when you're drooling over that new car you want.
