My second point...
was not to claim the Gates' and Bono were as bad as the #1(Stalin) and #2(Hitler) mass-murderers this planet has ever seen. It was simply to point out that being named Time's person(s) of the year is a dubious honor at best. Time's track record of picking their honorees is spotty to say the least.

BTW: Time has also, in the past, selected Charles Lindburgh, Rudi Gulliani, Pope John XXIII, Pope John Paul II, Winston Churchill, Martin Luther King, Jr., Dwight Eisenhower, and Mahatma Gandhi, among others. Are the Gates' and Bono in the same league with them, then? FWIW....
I'd say they're in the same league - seeing as they're all on the [url=http://www.time.com/time/personoftheyear/archive/stories/]list[/url] . Does that mean that all of them have comparable achievments? Not even remotely.
