I think I read that was what Franklin was thinking when
he choose humor rather than discorce to present his points/views.
Even in his time politics could get nasty and I don't know about you
Carl but when someone comes at me with words or fists of fury my
natural instict is the hit back. If someone makes me chuckle I do
just that laugh but my mind is then much clearer to at least
consider the point being made by the prankster.
