- Why should Nature be over comparison?

? Note that Nature is a scientific journal, and... ?
Don't try to be funny! Nature has been so pretentious for so many generations, so you would have hard time to find someone ignoring the basics you are "recalling".
But why should the Nature "peers" be over others (thus opposing their pretention to be "peers")? Why, because Nature is functionning like a soviet (collegiality and so), should it be over Britannica (or others)?
Why should we forget the grounds of civilization (respect, openness and equality toward everyone, even the ones outside the soviets, to name a few)?
