truth versus perception
what is truth? groups of people view events in different ways.
Take the US, for example. Many people would see the expansion to the US as a good thing, the growth of one of the first democratic countries and expansion onto the world stage.
Others however, would see this in the context of the Indians having their land stolen*, and people murdered in genocide.
*= once upon a time there was the concept of 'right of conquest'. I guess God granted the right to the strong to take what they wanted or something.
I kind of thought that some sort of system where both views were represented would be more informative, but then people want a quick explainations.

BTW AFAIK the study showed that by text volume, Wikipedia had 1/3 of the errors of Britannia!
(but then what is an error)
