You can always transfer...

If you "registered another companies [sic] trade name by accident" you won't get your money back, but you can immediately transfer the name to that company. If they want to register it, they can take it over. And if they don't, you can forward the domain to them (using your own nameserver, if you've paid for that service) or (at no cost to you) by specifying their nameservers in your registration in which case it's up to them to deal with it until it expires and comes up for grabs.

In any case, there won't be a lawsuit if you make any sort of good-faith effort to avoid confusion and remedy a mistake.
