So does Microsoft pay the Web Developers
"Web developers will need to slightly modify their pages or consumers will have to make an extra click to get to some content.."

Significant development has been made world wide so that IE is the standard browser. If Microsoft refuses to pay the University of California for the patent do they not establish a liabilty to all the government and private institutions that have coded to the IE browsere standard? Isn't that liability potentially greater than 500 million. Seriously - Its a bluff right? The legals at MS are trying to get a settlement. There is little option of switching browsers if you are vested in .net even for one simple budget application.

On a positive note MS finaly has hired come Cray supercomputer folks. We discussed that earlier here. Nonetheless, time to look at FireFox. Sigh.
