If the reason to switch is marginalized
Then there wouldn't be a reason to switch. I don't find it compelling to tell people to move to Firefox, same as I never found a reason to use IE. The only reason I advocate it is advantage to the user.

The developers need to continue improving the product, and they have a huge advantage owing to the MS Windows/IE entanglement and its drag on the development/test cycle. firefox can maintain the advantage only so long as it has a direction. The question is, is the browser 'mature', or are there still features that will further enhance the utility to the user? I'll be first to admit I wouldn't have thought of tabbed browsing and had to try it to discover how significant an advance it was. But if product differentiation diminishes or vanishes altogether, the rationale for Firefox would be hard to imagine.
