AOL forces 'friends' on AIM customers
It's actually pretty sad about the way companies are treating their customers these days. That said, I have been using GAIM running on Linux to connect to the AIM servers, and I did NOT get forced into seeing these little 'friends' appear in my Buddy List. Once again, running Linux seems to have saved me from being raped by an unfriendly Corporate Body, or should that be Corporate 'Buddy' with of course, tongue in cheek. (Or perhaps they are trying to force something else down their customer's throats?) What else would put such a horrible taste in your mouth? They treat customers like mushrooms, and we all know what mushrooms like to have lots of to grow on. Shopping buddy? More like Tracking Buddy. More fun ways to track what you buy so they can maximize their endless revenue stream while they continue to do NOTHING but give customers S&A. Thanks, A.O. HEL!!!
