He's right about Gaim being a really cool instant messenger. It not only supports all the commom i.m. protocols but lets you connect to all of them at the same time. Plus it doesn't put any extra uneeded B.S. on your computer. On the other subject it seems all the software companies are going to cram ads down our throats whether we want them or not. I guess the think we'll get used to them and come to accept them as the norm. My message to all the software vendors out there is forget it. I'll find alternatives without ads. If your business model must change then I suggest you scale back operations. At this point we've pretty much reached market saturation. If you can't find as many customers to pedal your wares to then thats to bad. You guys had it good for years and years. If you can't come up with anything new to sell us and insist on a rehash of the same tired software you're waisting your time and ours. How many different office applications does a person need anyway.
