ITU is a Standards Org
Quote: "everyone else is a second rate player. If they are so needy for control of power they should go build their own."

The ITU is an international standards organization heavily involved in world communications. Certainly the honor and prestige of kicking off the Internet will always be with the United States. But there are more and more international communications standards emerging that involve the Internet. I think eventually it makes perfect sense for the ITU to take over. It's not a question of power. It just puts Internet regulation in it's proper place.

Everyone else is not a second rate player. The communications infrastructure of Europe is quite advanced. More of the world is following Europe's lead.
