Skype is the leader in VOIP

Skype does have definite advantages over the other VOIP systems. Whilst it is not universal in the US yet nor here in Australia where I live, throughout europe and much of the rest of the world it is pretty much so. eBay is on a winner in buying out skype.
Not only is skype to skype free but it's very easy and very cost effective to call any number in the world from your computer. Also you can have your own phone number for people to call you on if you are not at your skype phone it will call your cell/mobile phone instead so it is in fact universally useable where as the FREE opposition is not.
For home use there is no need with skype to have an extra connection on your modem or monthly fees to pay. Skype is free to install with merely a headset required to make it work and unless you call elsewhere than skype to skype, the costs are below or comparable with all of the other players. Skype has my vote and many millions of other users too.
