How to win....

Drop Windows as much as possible. Contribute anyway you can by any means you can. Setup people with Firefox or Opera. Install Open Office 2.0. Buy a Mac if needed.

If you can program, contribute what you can to what ever project makes sense.

And for gods sakes, quick making an a$$ of your self on forums.
