Stock price has no causative bearing on performance (i.e. performance does not cause stock prices to rise/fail and stock prices rising and failing do not impact performance).

Yet you yourself have proven that Microsoft HAS grown!

And Microsoft is still projected to grow another 10% this year.

No. While Linux has been the recent server darling, in the last five years Windows Server has already snatched up around 50% of the worldwide server market. SQL Server is the fastest growing RDBMS. Windows Mobile has made substantial gains in market share withi Palm even now switching to use Windows Mobile. Xbox is now poised to seriously challenge Sony's dominance in the gaming arena.

If stock price was a good indicator of how well a company is actually performing, the internet bubble would have never burst. You simply cannot say that because MSFT (stock) hasn't skyrocketed, Microsoft (corporation) is also doing badly. Neither one has any causation on the other.
