Relative speeds
Most DSL connections got 384 kbps until recently. Actually if you want to do HD-quality video, 1Mbps or even 6Mbps (Comcast) isn't good enough. WiMAX and 70 Mbps is right in the sweet spot - barely fast enough, but universally accessable. A nice 10 Gig connection would be the best, but that's another 10 years away . . .
