Yes, Some Clowns Have No Clue!
A copyright should only last 2 to 3 years? Yeah, right dream on! Copyright should be the life of the author + a small amount.

Now about sharing knowledge! And about the idiots who don't want to share knowledge! Gee guy, I think you have this in reverse. Copyright is all about sharing knowledge, as guess what, books are knowledge. You can read a book and you will get knowledge that you can use. Copyright cannot stop you!

BTW here is a question I pose to you. Supposing somebody decided to copy the Linux kernel and created their own version. This version is super duper and the company decided not to give the sources back? Would you support that? I am guessing not. BUT guess what, the GPL and legal precedents are based on copyright! So if you don't like copyrights, fair enough, then you better like those corporations that want to take the Linux sources for their own. Copyrights is a double edged sword, my good sir!

What copyright says is that you can quote me, you can create you own works based on ideas from me, but you CANNOT copy me without my explicit yes! So if I am correct what you are saying is that you want to copy me! And sorry that is wrong! That is called freeloading and has nothing to do with sharing of knowledge.
