Bye AOL?
Their time has come - and probably gone. With broadband taking over, 56k is starting to become a dinosaur, and AOL banked too much on dial-up - which was good in the early days of the Internet, but if they can't adapt to new technologies they will be left in the dust. I'm sure many of their customers are switching to another service - and ironically one owned by their own parent company.
