That's a really good point. Either AOL leverages this to get a better rate from Google, or they switch to MS.

Even if Google buys AOL, say they spend $1 billion. I think AOL counts for about $250 million per year so that's essentially losing the AOL revenue for 4 years anyway.

Either way, AOL's parent Time Warner gets more money (either direct cash or they pay less in costs).
