real nice attitude
Maybe you should remember that economics is what is keeping the US great. If Europe and Asia where to strike a deal and develop a seperate network where would that leave the US. It's time to play together instead of being the bully.

"Be gratefull we are letting you use it"
You are not letting us use it. If these connections were cut today Europe would be up and running tomorrow. Don't overestimate your power. See where that got you in Irak.

" it's kinda like our airspace"

An analogy that doesn't fit at all. Most of the internets network doesn't run through the US. All you controll are the top level domains. Servers and databases wich could be replaced with some effort. You think they internet will be the place it is today when all you can do in the US is talk amongst yourselves? It's more like the tower at the airport, controlled by the US, controlling the take of and landings on another countries airport. Why should we let you decide how our networks are run?

If the US were a trustworthy partner there would be no trouble at all. The only reason this came up is because the US has show in the past few years it is not willing to behave. The internet is to important to let it be controlled by a country that doesn't seem to have much of a problem when it comes to telling lies to serve it's own purpose.

As for the UN????? Wich bozo came up with that brilliant idea? They are even less trustworthy then the US.
