What we have today, in no way resembles
the Internet. So don't expect it to be the robust, nearly autonomous Internet that was created.

It used to be many small networks with many pipes for connectivity. It is now a few large and sparsley connected private networks designed to make a buck.

Expect more and bigger fiascoes in the future!
